USCB Saturday Business Degree Program to hold information session

Bluffton, SC –The University of South Carolina Beaufort will be hosting an information session for prospective students interested in applying to the Fall 2012 Saturday Business Degree program.  The event will be held at 6:00pm on February 15th at the Hilton Head Gateway campus, located in Bluffton, in room 122 of the Hargray Building.

This program is designed for the working adult who has a partial four year degree completion, an associate degree, or a degree in another discipline, wishing to benefit from having a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from a recognized University.

Students accepted into the program participate in an accelerated 22 month curriculum, completing course work on Saturdays.  USCB’s Saturday Business Degree Program offers classroom instruction in state of the art facilities, centrally located in Bluffton, SC. Savannah Area residents are also eligible for in-state tuition rates.

USCB offers an employer based reimbursement schedule, resulting in significant tuition reimbursement for many students, as well as financial aid assistance.

USCB Festival Series Showcases Chamber Music at Historic Beaufort Campus

Beaufort, SC –The University of South Carolina Beaufort Festival Series, directed by Edward Arron, will be showcasing performances of prize-winning musicians at the USCB Center for the Arts on December 11th at 5pm. 
 
Center stage will be John Novacek at the nine-foot Steinway concert grand.  He will be joined by three other artists for Shostakovich’s Opus 127 and four shorter pieces by Robert Schumann.

Other performers for this event include vocalist Hyunah Yu, violinist Jesse Mills, and Artistic Director & cellist Edward Arron. 

The 2011-2012 season marks Arron’s ninth season as the artistic coordinator of the Metropolitan Museum Artists in Concert, a chamber ensemble created in 2003 to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Museum’s Concerts and Lectures series. 

Ticket prices for this event start at $40 and can be purchased in advance through Staci Breton at 843-208-8246.  Tickets can also be obtained the evening of the event at the USCB Center for the Arts, located on Carteret Street in Historic Downtown Beaufort.
